How Are Properties Selected?
Travelers trust Select Registry properties to deliver an exceptional experience with every stay, while preserving the unique character and individuality that make each independent property special.
Each member property is assessed through an in-depth evaluation and consultation. A robust set of membership requirements and quality criteria are used to verify commitment to quality, genuine hospitality, and memorable guest experiences. Properties are scored across several categories including hospitality, food and beverage experience, physical attributes and design, and branding and market positioning, totalling 525 potential points. The standard is applied identically everywhere regardless of whether the property is a historical inn or a mountain lodge.
Approved properties join the collection of accommodations that reflect the very best in hospitality and benefit from ongoing consultation and access to industry best practices to help them maintain standards and constantly improve guest experiences.
The Process
Properties interested in membership are assessed through an in-person overnight stay by a seasoned hospitality professional with extensive experience in independent lodging standards and guest experience. The overnight stay allows the evaluator to experience the property as a guest would, from check in to check out.
Measured Against a Consistent Standard
The impartial on-site review holds every member to the same benchmark ensuring all members meet the the same high quality standards. The requirements of membership are reviewed regularly to remain aligned with current traveler expectation and industry best practices.
