Inviting and warm, the 1900 Inn at Montford is the most perfect combination of history, refined comfort, and genuine gracious Southern hospitality!
The house is lovingly decorated with elegant, timeless rooms reflecting the historic character and exquisite beauty of the era. My room the O'Henry was spacious and intimate at the same time, designed for quiet contemplation amid the serene surroundings with a cute little library wall filled with books to peruse at leisure and cozy comfortable chairs to settle in. It truly made my Regency and Gilded Age obsessed heart sing with happiness as I lived out my Bridgerton dreams. I still have a huge smile on my face just thinking about it, oh how I loved that writing desk!!
The food omg the food was amazing! The 3 course breakfast served every morning was so fresh, light, and very very delicious! And the variety of fresh homemade cookies put out each day was simply irresistible and are such a yummy treat to indulge in. Dare I say I inhaled all of them hehe. Plus don’t miss the 6pm wine hour! Tasty drinks and lively conversations with fascinating fellow travelers was a great was to decompress and rejuvenate before heading to dinner ( Tall John’s and Nine Mile and All Day Darling are excellent and super nearby within walking distance just up the street).
Willy and Shawnie are such an absolute delight! So charming and kind, super knowledgeable about the area, attentive to your every whim and just simply the best!! I totally adore them!
Can you tell I thoroughly enjoyed my stay? It was wonderful, perfect in every way, and I really couldn’t have asked for a better more relaxing experience. It refreshed me!
Willy, Shawnie, and Jennifer, I thank you for making my stay so memorable and special. I am deeply grateful and appreciative of all the thoughtful touches and warm hospitality shown me.
