"My husband and I have stayed here several times just for fun and for special occasions."
My husband and I have stayed here several times just for fun and for special occasions. The staff always takes such great care of us and we love the delicious breakfast spread. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and we especially enjoy the luxurious tubs and the cozy fireplace. It is very relaxing here and we love that it’s just a convenient 15 minute walk away from town, yet far away enough that you’re not dealing with all the tourist traffic and noise. This is definitely a gem of a place that we look forward to coming back to for the rest of our lives!

We recently stayed at this site and it was a complete surprise to me by my husband. The location was great and the design of the building was outstanding. I know that when my husband chooses a room he looks for the amenities and toiletries of the bathroom. When we got to the location the stand-alone copper tub was backed up with debris from the piping and we were unable to use the tub. The additional sprayers in the shower did not operate, so even though the room itself was great we did not get to enjoy the biggest reasons for choosing the room. The room that we had was the Dornroschen room on Aug 13, 2026.

Our stay at Abendblume was nice. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The bathroom was large, enjoyed having 2 vanities, and a very large walk in shower. And the tub was huge, which was needed (more on this later). We were in the Dornroschen Room.
We were disappointed with the communication during our entire stay. We have spoken with the owner, Kelly, in great length and made her aware. She apologized because she was not present during our stay, and hoped we will consider staying again soon. We plan to visit again in the next year or so, and will give this B&B another try. It is a beautiful property, and very enjoyable!

We booked this place for our anniversary a few weeks ago (July 2nd). The grounds were absolutely stunning! We have stayed at several bed-and-breakfasts, but this was the first where there was no one there to check us in (which I thought was odd). It’s not good customer service. No one there to check us in and there were notes that were left for us that told us to text if we had any questions or if we needed anything. I only texted the number twice and the response was slow and curt. Our first night there, there was no evening dessert as stated on said note, which was disappointing after a long days drive. The breakfast was really good and on our second night there was an amazing cake that was left for everyone to enjoy and it did not disappoint. The grounds of this place is absolutely beautiful, but the customer service, not so much. Overall, we enjoyed our stay the weather was perfect, coming from Florida heat the summer weather in Washington was amazing but I must say I was surprised by the lack of presence of the host overall.

Beautiful, only disappointment was they used to have dessert in the evening. Stayed two nights, and nothing. We have stayed here many times. And always looked forward to that.

Being the only couple there (we) didn’t get the same treatment that was given when the crowd started coming in on Friday. No desserts that we were told we would get, no fresh coffee at 7am upstairs that was promised , no one there for me to check in (had to call) ,ect… not going into the rest. I paid same price as everyone else but didn’t get same quality. Clean place but that’s all.
