Absolutely wonderful B&B to stay in Louisville. The innkeepers are wonderful, the property is finished to a really high standard and anything you could have needed was thought of to make the stay exceptional. Breakfast was freshly made to order and a wonderful selection. The snacks and freshly baked goods where an unexpected delight and really valued after a long day at the expo centre nearby. I would rush back to stay here anytime I could.

I don’t even know where to start. Just WOW. Rich and Brian are quite literally some of the loveliest people I have ever met. I figured this out very quickly back in June when I wanted to add an extra day to our September trip. They got back to me within an hour of my email and we got everything squared away. Fast forward to now, I just got home from a 4 day, 3 night stay and I would absolutely turn around and go 6 hours right back.
This bed and breakfast is absolutely stunning. The decor is beautiful, the rooms are impeccably clean, and the shower was awesome. I’ve never been able to wash my hair so fast. I need whatever that setup is for my house lol. It was very quiet, too. There were other people there, but we never heard anyone even moving in the hallway.
The breakfasts were incredible. I have never had better eggs Benedict, the homemade bread and jam was top notch, and the nightly fresh baked cookies were unbelievably good. Not only was everything fresh and made to order, but you can tell when food is made with love. The presentation was beautiful as well.
Rich and Brian had the perfect amount of presence. They were there for anything we needed, but everything felt very private still. They had tons of recommendations for local food and activities and were very knowledgeable about the area as a whole. They went above and beyond one night to make sure we had food when we were out late and most places were closed. I loved getting to chat with them at breakfast and hear some of their story. You can tell they put their hearts and souls into the house and into their business. It was 100% worth every penny and I am so glad we stayed with them.
We will definitely be going back. Thank you for an amazing first experience in Kentucky. Places like this nowadays seem few and far between. It was an honor to get to stay in such a gorgeous, historical home with such incredible people. ♥️

What a phenomenal experience! The decor, attention to detail, and overall layout left nothing to be desired—every single touch was thoughtfully executed.
Returning from a night out to a waiting cocktail and great conversation made the stay feel truly special. Breakfast was exceptional, featuring fresh bread, delicious jam, and an impressive selection of entrees that were well above standard.
We would easily stay here again!

The Bourbon Barrel Inn was an absolutely wonderful place to stay! Brian and Rich have a beautifully decorated home in a perfect location, close to all the attractions in Louisville.
They are the most welcoming hosts and have truly thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and special. From the in-room hot chocolate and coffee maker to the snacks and drinks in the hallway snack station, every little detail was so thoughtful. The cherry cheesecake, cherry bourbon jam, and chocolate bourbon balls were an extra-special treat!
They go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcomed and appreciated. And the breakfasts were absolutely delicious—better than what you would expect at a 5-star restaurant!
Our room and bathroom had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We loved our time at the Bourbon Barrel Inn and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else the next time we visit Louisville. Highly recommend!

We had an incredible experience at the Bourbon Barrel Inn Bed & Breakfast over a holiday weekend! The accommodations are beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and impeccably maintained. Every little detail has been considered and accounted for — it’s amazing. The second we arrived, Brian and Richard made us feel so welcomed, like we were staying with old friends. We really appreciated how inviting they made the whole experience. The breakfasts were truly excellent, the rooms were exceptionally comfortable, and the location is very convenient to many of the attractions that Louisville has to offer. We can’t wait to visit again!

This Bed & Breakfast Inn was so much more! Not only were the rooms immaculate and beautifully appointed with all high-end quality linens, towels and bathroom accessories, the in-room coffee/tea/hot chocolate station was amazing along with hallway station of refrigerated sodas, water and variety of munchies! The gourmet made-to-order breakfast beat out any 5-star restaurant offering and the post-time cocktail hour with appetizers of charcuterie, stuffed mushrooms, homade focaccia and dips were a fun surprise each evening. (Not to mention the bedtime snacks including home made cookies, cherry bourbon cheese cake, and bourbon balls!) The location is centered to go anywhere in the city and the neighborhood walk on Millionaire’s Row is enchanting of a bygone age. Cannot recommend Brian and Rich’s place enough to anyone who respects and appreciates high quality and over the top hospitality!
