Such a quaint and charming manor! Our room in the manor itself was cozy, roomy and clean. They also have cottages which look private and charming from the outside - we were not inside any of them. The parlors and dining area were cozy and warm with beautiful views of the gorgeous grounds with a pretty patio and outdoor dining area with huge old trees on the property surrounded by woods. We were there during a major rain event but still took a stroll along the vast grounds. The outdoor patio looks comfy and charming. We did spend some time seated on the covered porch under blankets on couches out of the rain - so romantic. Breakfast was always truly amazing with fresh fruit and fresh-baked goods and a choice of 2 main entrees. Coffee was excellent by the way too. The daily high tea around 4pm always included something warm and savory as well as a fresh-baked cake and delicious cookies. Amazing food! Everyone was so kind and helpful! We really enjoyed ourselves. Apparently this is also a popular wedding venue… And “Squeaky” the black cat will likely come up to you outside and insist on being petted while he purrs for you… The historic and charming town of Chestertown and the Chester River (which ultimately connects to the Chesapeake Bay) are just a few minutes away. The Atlantic coast is nearby also. So pretty.

My husband, I spent a long weekend at the Brampton Inn early September and it did not disappoint! We stayed in the Sunrise cottage, which was perfectly quaint and warm. Being parents of three young children, we spent most of the weekend in the cottage, relaxing in the cozy robes that were provided. We made sure to enjoy the soaking tub and the comfortable king size bed. We were first welcomed with a small box of chocolates from Bespoke Chocolates, which were to die for. Each morning, breakfast was delivered, and each bite was scrumptious. We were only minutes from downtown Chestertown and we were able to enjoy the farmers market Saturday morning. The Innkeeper suggested we visit Crow Winery which was a short drive. We brought a bottle back and sipped it while we sat on the patio, being serenaded by a string quartet you could hear from the main house. The Inn was hosting a small wedding that evening. It was the perfect getaway to celebrate our anniversary and would recommend it for anyone needing the perfect environment to unwind.

We just had our wedding here and it was absolutely perfect! The location was beautiful, the rooms were so clean and nice, the food was delicious and the staff was amazing. They took care of everything seamlessly, were incredibly friendly, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Had a great stay at the Brampton. The staff was wonderful especially Susan. Location is very close to downtown. The tea/wine time is great- piano player on Friday. Rooms nice and spacious. They have cottages that looked like you could live in them. If we ever come back to chestertown, would stay again.

My boyfriend and I had such a lovely stay at Brampton. The property is absolutely beautiful. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed (we stayed in the Green Room). One of the highlights of our weekend was the Elegant Afternoon Tea - the food and the tea were delicious. We loved being able to spend time enjoying the beautiful surroundings without feeling like we needed to be constantly on the go. Brampton was exactly what we were looking for in a relaxing, romantic weekend getaway. We would definitely love to return!
