Camp Deforest was a perfect retreat. I grew up in the area and theres no better spot. Its right across the road from the beautiful Duck Trap beach with good skipping rocks. I, however, didn't even leave the premises after I checked it. It was so relaxing and the staff was super friendly. Everything down to the soaps were great and the theme was really fun. On top of that, the simple camp menu is elevated, local and delicious. Also huge shout out to Ben who's tirelessly running around making sure the place is perfect. 10/10 would recommend. Id say book multiple nights to get the most out of slowing down in midcoast Maine. Thanks guys!

We loved our stay and will definitely go there again if we're in the area! Very nice rooms and outdoor seating areas, delicious sourdough bagels, and not far from a nice hiking trail on Mount Battie.

The decor in the rooms is rustic and charming. This is a beautiful setting. The lodge has everything you would want for a continental breakfast or breakfast to order. The staff have been friendly and kind and accommodating. We had a family gathering that included s’mores and a bonfire one evening. This is a great place to stay!

6 college friends turning 70 loved the camp atmosphere. We all worked at several camps during college. Brought back memories on an “elevated” level! The decor at the main office and our rooms were classic!
Thank you for warm hospitality!
