The staff were nice and the views were amazing but other than that there’s nothing really special about this place and not worth the price. The main hotel is closed for construction so we were in a house down the road. Only parking is street parking which worked out ok but could be a problem for some. For the cost and from what a friend who had suggested staying here made me think it would be luxury but felt pretty basic. We did not use the Jacuzzi tub so can’t say anything about that. When I first sat on the bed it seems very hard but was actually ok for sleeping. We also could hear our neighbors pretty easily.

We stayed in the Helm room at the Allyn House. The room is very clean and the patio overlooks the ocean and is private. The room is somewhat dated in the bath area, the fridge is very small and there is no microwave which was disappointing. Dave the day manager is fantastic and housekeeping is the best!

Not even a microwave, zero parking had to walk a block just to get to the room. Not worth the money at all and less than friendly staff and office smelled like weed??? Not impressed

The room was high quality in all the ways that really matter to me. The bed was luxurious, the pillows were perfect, the water pressure rocked, and the view was spectacular. The soaps/ lotion provided all smelled so good. Tv and hot tub were easy to use, self explanatory. The location of the hotel could not be more convenient. Everything you could need or want is within walking distance. It was so relaxing to stay here, I really wish we didn't have to leave! All that said, the room really seemed like it had seen better days. There was obvious damage and wear. I would still stay here again, though.

Loved it... staff was awsome and so was our Captains Quarters. Can't wait to go back.
