Definitely not a 4-star property. Rooms were constantly damp and had a musty smell. AC unit blew right into the person trying to sleep. TV was malfunctioning; just kept turning on so we unplugged it. Maintenance projects had parts/pieces laid out on the grounds for the 3 days we were there. Beach towels were laughably small. If you want to lay down at the beach bring your own towels. Staff was sparse and seemed to lack protocol/training. It wanted to be a nice property but just wasn't quite. The town is adorable and the neighboring towns provide variety. The hotel was quiet in spite of its proximity to the train tracks. Would not book here again.

Chateau Inn & Suites in Spring Lake, and my wife and I absolutely loved it. We arrived Friday planning to enjoy the long weekend, and we loved our stay so much that we decided we weren’t ready to leave! Thankfully, the Chateau was incredibly accommodating and was able to extend our stay for one more night. Everything has been exceptional. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, spotless, and very well maintained. The bathrooms especially stand out — they have a luxurious, spa-like feel that really adds to the experience. But what truly makes the Chateau special is the service. It has been five-star from the moment we arrived. Everyone has been welcoming, helpful, accommodating, and genuinely kind. There is a personal touch here that you simply don’t find everywhere. Sage was able to even giide me to where i could find some public pickle ball matches. Spring Lake is a beautiful and special place, and the Chateau has made our first stay here even more memorable. It has been peaceful, relaxing, and a wonderful getaway for my wife and me. For our first stay, they certainly made a lasting impression. We came for a long weekend, stayed an extra night, and already know we’ll be back. Thank you to the entire Chateau team for making us feel so welcome!

Incredible, beautiful boutique hotel! The location and rooms are beautiful, but what really won me over was the outstanding service! The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help out when I needed! On my last day, I completely forgot about 50% of my clothes in a rush to check out. They called me once they began cleaning the room, and offered every possible solution - from holding the clothes for a few days, to handing off to a relative in the area, to even shipping the clothes out. Sage, an outstanding employee, ended up shipping the items I left behind, on his own time, and was kind during the entire process. He kept in contact with me, providing tracking information and asking if there was anything else he could do. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you Sage, and the rest of the staff for an unforgettable stay!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Wonderful Stay at The Chateau! My daughter and I had the most wonderful stay at The Chateau in Spring Lake! Jeff and George had an almost psychic ability to know exactly what we needed to make our stay special. They remembered our names, were incredibly kind and attentive, and went above and beyond. The room was gorgeous, cozy, spotless, and comfortable. George even put my food in the refrigerator for me, and Jeff found me a lint roller! George also gave me a pink bike lock to match my outfit 😂💕 We loved riding the bikes and exploring Spring Lake. The morning beignets were fabulous, and their restaurant recommendations were excellent! Jeff and George truly made our stay so memorable. We would absolutely come back! 💕
