We have stayed at the Cuthbert House 4 times, and we have loved each stay. The property is immaculate with a beautiful coastal aesthetic. It is quiet, comfortable, and charming. The location is great - well walkable to all areas along Bay Street. The view of the marsh and river from the front porch is picturesque and peaceful. The bathrooms are modern and clean. All the "extras" (tea and water service, refrigerated beverages with high ball glasses and ice, social hour with wine with nice stemware, turndown service with chocolates, breakfast with French press coffee) make it feel elevated. The staff and owners are very friendly and personable, making you feel welcomed. In a world where good service, hospitality, and quality are increasingly hard to find, the Cuthbert House still delivers!

Amazing! A southern charm right on the water front. Great location in Beaufort, SC. Chris and Suzanne, the owner's, were present and such a delightful couple to share stories of past and present adventures! They have gone all in with their renovations, traditional decor, and hospitality! The staff was phenomenal, down to earth and willing to do whatever it took to make us comfortable. We shared great conversations of where we were from and our journeys through life. The breakfast and social hour eats were top shelf! Chef Megan, ensured our food was prepared according to our health concerns...something you won't find while staying in most hotels. Our room was beautiful and very clean. The shower was large and comforting. The bed was comfortable. I'm a senior with back issues and I prefer a firm mattress. The bed did not feel that firm but was very comfortable and provided a good nights rest. Thank you Megan, Wendy (your restaurant choices were awesome!), Robert, Karen, Mayra, and Liz for your charming personalities and hospitality! We will see you again! Dennis and Sharon

We had a wonderful stay at the Cuthbert House and would absolutely give it 5 stars. Karen and Robert were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The inn is full of thoughtful touches—from the complimentary postcards to the delicious yogurt parfait breakfast, and even beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels available for guests to borrow. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed, with so many little details that made our stay feel special. We also really enjoyed the social hour, which was a fun way to unwind and meet other guests. If you’re visiting Beaufort, we can’t recommend the Cuthbert House highly enough. We can’t wait to come back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Cuthbert House in Beaufort, SC, and could not recommend it more highly. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon because we are moving to the Beaufort area, and it ended up being the perfect place to celebrate such a special time in our lives. The team went above and beyond by upgrading us to the Eastlake Suite, which made the stay feel even more memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of the suite. It was beautiful, comfortable, charming, and had that perfect historic Beaufort feel while still being relaxing and inviting. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, who were incredibly kind and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about the property and about making guests feel at home. They have done an incredible job renovating The Cuthbert House while still preserving the historic character and charm that makes it so special. Everything felt thoughtfully updated without losing the soul of the home. The Cuthbert House is a beautiful property in a beautiful town, and our experience there made us even more excited to be moving to the area. We are so grateful for the hospitality and will always remember our stay in the Eastlake Suite. Five stars all the way!

We spent a delightful four nights at the Cuthbert House as an interlude stop between Charleston and Savannah. When visiting city it only makes sense to stay at a beautiful B and B directly river front with unobstructed views, As a senior couple we decided to opt for the ground floor coast suite with sitting area outside fanned seating and a large bathroom. This worked as it avoided stairs except for breakfast and social hour. We didn't miss out on spectacular views however as the breakfast alcove or veranda during social hour provided them . Cuthbert house is about a 5 minute stroll into the main part for town for restaurants and activities and parking is plentiful in case you wish to venture further afield. The served breakfasts and social hour appetizers were delightful. Chris the owner attends the social hours is a wealth of information and insures that all details of operation are attended to. Its not surprising that a number of our fellow guests were return visitors. We are glad we opted for a 4 night stay. The staff we polite engaging and extremely helpful with great local recommendations. We still owe the chef a Mofongo recipe which will be forthcoming shortly. Thank you for a great stay!
