Beautiful historic mansion! We loved our 2 night stay for a wedding. Breakfast is excellent, the staff is extremely helpful, and the grounds are great for a post rehearsal get together and following wedding reception.

We stayed one night after The Restoration in Asheville and were told this would be the same caliber. It wasn't. We arrived an hour early and felt unwelcome: the staff was setting up for an event, we were sent to a stuffy upstairs "parlour" to wait, and ten minutes after we sat down in a covered garden area we were asked to move so they could clear the furniture. We had specifically asked for a room with a bathtub and were sent a photo of one. The room we got had no tub, and it was musty and felt like an attic. The grounds are beautiful, but the hospitality isn't there.

Just had a fantastic experience hosting a wedding at Duke Mansion. The service was incredible; far and above what I am used to even at luxury hotels. Madelyn, Darius and Kristen were all exceptional but so were many others whom I can't remember their names. Thank you all so much for making the even so memorable.

I did not rent a room there; I attended as a guest for a wedding. The wait staff were superb. They were very attentive to the guest needs. If your glass became empty they quickly came to refill it. Very polite staff.

Our room was so loud you can hear literally everything in the hallway and next door. Couldn't sleep at all. Air conditioner was barely working so room was super hot all night. Check in took forever cause the front desk person seemed confused about our booking.
