Elk & Embers Mountain Hideaway

As i was looking for a special place for a 20 year anniversary I came upon Elk and Embers and from the second we arrived all I got is WOW WOW WOW..!!! We stay in Tanager which is Very Convenient to the lodge and the Market Shed yet most amazing thing is the “Sunrises” Unbelievable….!! All in all… everything just has perfection all over it… from the amazing hiking trails to the grounds and the 10 star service. Omar (thank you) was my savior…. he not only knew of the things to make my time with my Bride extra special… he made it all happen perfectly…. (again Thank you) We were also lucky enough to have time talking with the owners…. after that we could tell why everything is so Amazing… they have the passion to make Elk and Embers One of a kind..!! My first trip to this magical place was incredible! Set in to the side of a mountain, every cabin or tent is in it's own, secluded area with paths that lead to two group areas where one can kick back by the fire, with s'more, snacks and/or a drink and connect with other guests. In the cabins/tents themselves, every detail has been thought of; and our tent for the weekend (Tanager) was beautifully appointed and looked out to stunning views. The staff was lovely and accommodating; and the multitude of beautifully kept trails led us to many lovely sights (waterfalls, streams, historic buildings). We look forward to coming back!

We fully enjoyed our stay. Coming from a construction background I found the design and workmanship on the cabin outstanding. The included amenities were above and beyond our expectations and will definitely pass your name on. 10.

My wife and I stayed for a night this past week and had a wonderful visit. There was absolutely NOTHING that could have been better (other than the weather!). The accommodations were incredible, the views were incredible and the service was incredible. I would highly recommend t to anyone looking for a couple nights away in a quiet setting with luxury accommodations! We will 100% be back!

Quick birthday trip did not disappoint… perfect getaway to recharge… as said in earlier reviews: gorgeous and well planned… every detail shows thought…my wife and I are still chatting it up… very appreciative for our time there…

We had a great, relaxing 3 nights at Elk and Embers. It was very secluded and we felt like we had our own private mountain. Our cabin had the best views and we hiked all of the trails. I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to get away from the rat race for a few days.
