My wife and I go to Savannah at least once a year and got married there. We've stayed all over the historic downtown area and this was our first time at the Forsyth Park Inn. It was fantastic. First off, shout out to DeWayne. He greeted us as soon as we arrived and couldn't have been any friendlier or more helpful. It's clear he really enjoys his job and interacting with the guests. He definitely made it feel like home. Honestly, the entire staff was great and welcoming, but he really stood out. My wife is gluten free and after we told DeWayne that, he went over the menu for each morning and the modifications that could be made. The kitchen made gluten free blueberry pancakes for her the first morning which was unexpected and very welcome. The breakfast/mid afternoon/late night snacks were all delicious. The inn itself is exactly what you'd expect a house from the 1890s to be. It's certainly old and it shows a little but overall it's been well maintained. The rooms are small as you'd expect. The location is fantastic and close to really anything you could want. My only criticisms (which are really quite small) are just the TV in the room is SD which I didn't even realize was still an option. Not that we spent a ton of time in the room watching it, but still kind of weird in 2026 we didn't have HD. I also kind of wish there was a mini fridge in the room but it wasn't a huge deal. Overall great stay in an excellent location with a fantastic staff!

TL;DR: Amazing, unique stay in a beautiful historic home. Excellent location and amenities. I felt completely safe as a solo traveler. If you’re a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the veranda or towards the courtyard. ———————— Overall, an excellent stay. As a solo traveler, I felt very welcome and safe. If you choose a B&B, expect a more personal experience than a typical hotel. I loved the complimentary appetizers and wine each afternoon, plus desserts and coffee each evening. Incredible location. You really cannot beat it. I stayed in the Taylor Room (Room 1), which was gorgeous, with a comfortable bed and jetted tub. My only issue was the noise. The house starts bustling around 6 a.m. as breakfast is prepared, and the room’s windows face the busy veranda. By 7–7:30 a.m., you can hear tables and chairs being moved and conversations (sometimes quite loud as a table and chairs are positioned a couple of feet from the window closest to the bed) outside. Including the noise in the lobby since the room is a few steps away from it. It quiets down in the afternoon before social hour and after 8 p.m. so I made sure to take full advantage of those times. When asked how my stay was going, I did mention it Day 2. But I don’t believe it’s anything that could be changed and no one’s fault so I just adapted and everything was fine. I also think they thought I meant the street noise. There’s the typical street noise that comes with being in a busy area. Including the street sweeping which is very loud. So if that is also an issue, definitely choose another room.

A wonderful place to stay in a fantastic location. Huge ceilings...16 feet...with giant 12 foot doors and unique transitional windows I have never experienced before they are triple pane that slide up to become a door. The service was fantastic. They had sweet tea and lemon water available 24/7. The breakfast was either continental or chefs selection that day. You know the night before when you pick your time...the continental is anytime after 7. In the evening they have a wine hour with desserts. The room types vary. Ours #8 was the only one that had a balcony that overlooked the courtyard. Neither one we got to enjoy because it was only slightly cooler than the Sun during our August visit. But the rooms are tastefully decorated in the style that fits the 1890 home. Ours was small. But we had a giant suitcase that didn't help. But come on who spends their day in your room when in a place like Savannah? Beds were comfy for us, again that is a personal thing. Room was clean. The front porch view of Forsyth Park is fantastic. A great place to drink your sweet tea and people watch. If you have mobility issues this is not a good option. Lots of steps that cannot be avoided. A great couples get away, or a parent stay when dropping off the kids at SCAD. The parking is street parking on the side streets. But it is free. If you are driving an EV. The immediate area around the Inn is not EV friendly. The closest are a short walk across the park and it is just 2 slow charger that was always occupied. The others are closer to River Street but they are spotty at best and also slow. The have a bus stop for the free shuttle right out front, but it is such a nice walk to the old town that is my choice. And the walk is just about a mile and takes well how ever long you want it to take. The staff is attentive, accommodating and informative.Overall this is a great place at a great price nice and quiet...but probably not the best if you have kids that want the bells and whistles or have mobility issues.

My spouse and I stayed here for our one year wedding anniversary and it was fun! We stayed in room 5 (Lafayette) and had fun. They gave us a coupon for 1/2 off an appetizer for the Savannah Distillery restaurant for our anniversary dinner. I love the paranormal so I was a bit disappointed I didn't experience anything in the room but the nearby ghost tours made up for it. The downtown area is about a 10 to 20 minute walk where everything is so it was easy to find something to do. The complementary breakfasts were delicious.
