We had such a wonderful stay at Gideon Ridge Inn! From the moment we arrived, Mindy, the manager, made us feel so welcome. She gave us a tour, showed us to our room, and was incredibly kind and accommodating.
We enjoyed a welcome drink, and Brian at the bar was so friendly and made fantastic drinks. Parker was our server at dinner and provided excellent service with great recommendations. The food was amazing, especially the ribeye, which was the best we’ve ever had!
Our room was very clean and comfortable, with incredible views. Enjoying our coffee this morning while looking out over the Blue Ridge Mountains was the perfect way to end our stay. The setting is beautiful, but the people made the experience even more special. We can’t wait to come back!

One of our favorite places on earth, to stay or to dine. We appreciate the great service, and how the staff share responsibilities. We can take in the two vistas from the ridge for hours.

We went to the restaurant. Great service and incredible views. I would recommend getting there in time for sunset. Alexis was our waiter and she explained the entire menu in detail and even more when each course was brought out. We have had many expensive dinners out but we actually left here saying it was worth it.

We enjoyed a great one-night stay at Gideon Ridge on August 9–10. We have been staying in Asheville for a few days before and I had always wanted to come up to see the Blowing Rock/Boone area. The location was incredible and the mountain views are stunning.
Because the reviews are so high, our expectations were up there. It’s a wonderful place, but a couple of small things held it back from a 5-star rating for us. Our room (the French room) was nice, though the rugs in the hall felt a little worn.
Dinner was also enjoyable. We started with the escargot and scallop, followed by the house and watermelon salads, and both had the halibut for our main. Everything was good, but the halibut was a touch overcooked.
I’m not trying to be mean—just transparent! It was a great overall stay, and with just a few minor tweaks, it would be perfect. 4 out of 5 stars. But the views were spectacular from all over the property. And the bartender really could make a great Manhattan!

Gideon Ridge is the best restaurant I've yet been to in all my travels. Spent my 1st and 3rd anniversary and have been there many times otherwise to eat. The atmosphere, the service and the staff are all top tier and the food is always on another planet from anything else.

We only went to the restaurant. It was excellent on every level. Exquisite food and creative choices. Waitress had knowledge of the menu and was friendly and personable. Views from this mountain perch were breathtaking! Dining in the patio or inside.
