We had such a wonderful stay at The Inn at Four Eleven York! This beautiful Victorian home, dating back to the 1890s, has so much history and charm. It feels like staying in a beautiful historic home, but with all the modern comforts. Our room was lovely, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff was so warm and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!

I'm wrapping up my second stay at this lovely inn, and I have enjoyed my longer stay so much. There are only four rooms and I've stayed in the same one both times (the Freemason), so I can't comment on the others. But this room is great -- plenty of natural light, at the back of the building, with a comfy bed, well-stocked bar cart (the snacks are complementary), full-length mirror, closet, good-size TV that's easy to use, and a clean and bright bathroom with Waterworks plumbing fixtures. The room decor is lovely: The designer wisely selected a charming, but graphic wallpaper that makes a big statement so the other elements don't have to. I opted for the daily cleaning and have enjoyed breakfast in my room, which always arrives right on time. I had dinner at the restaurant one night and it was excellent! A thoughtful menu, with surprise extras, like an amuse bouche and a heavenly biscuit-y bread with jalapeno jam (which I never would've thought I'd want, but wow, it was expertly prepared). The service is really thoughtful and lovely as well. They text you to remind you to place your breakfast order the night before, but always ever-so-gently. This place truly understands hospitality. This is where I want to stay every time I come to Norfolk.

Our stay at 411 York was exceptional. The beautifully designed room had a plush bed, luxurious robes, a well-appointed bathroom, ample outlets and storage, and every amenity we needed. Parking was easy, and the warm, thoughtful staff made us feel genuinely cared for. When I accidentally mixed up our dates, the innkeepers graciously let us extend our stay, which we deeply appreciated. We didn’t get to try breakfast each day due to our schedule, but that gives us a reason to return. We stayed for four nights as we were helping our daughter with a newborn locally, so we didn’t get to eat out much. BUT one night I was a little tired, so I ordered room service. I felt like I just landed in heaven. They gave me a tray that I could eat my dinner in bed, I had a delicious glass of wine along with the most perfectly cooked fillet and the most amazing cheddar biscuits. it is so hard to describe what true happiness was, but at that moment, I was as happy as I’ve ever been, sitting and enjoying what I would consider the best meal I’ve eaten in years, in that really comfortable bed.. it was my favorite night by far. Most of all, we’re grateful for the innkeepers’ kindness and warmth during a difficult time. We couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable, welcoming stay.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely wonderful experience at The Inn at Four Eleven York! The atmosphere is beautiful, elegant, and intimate, making it a perfect spot for a special dinner or date night in Norfolk. The food was excellent—everything was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The service was equally impressive; the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the evening. I especially loved the historic charm of the property and the relaxing, upscale atmosphere. You can tell there’s a lot of attention to detail, from the setting to the food and hospitality. Definitely one of the more memorable dining experiences in Norfolk. I would highly recommend The Inn at Four Eleven York and look forward to coming back!
