Beautiful property and location. We stayed in The Roost. The bedroom was very warm and the exhaust fan that was stated to be there to cool the upstairs didn’t seem to exist or work anymore if it was there..? We didn’t complain because it was late and we were only there one night. We figured we could suffer through one night. Also, we never met anyone, seemed more like an Airbnb-type stay than a Select Registry stay (we’ve stayed at many Select Registry Inns and love the experience, that’s why we choose them). This was our first experience that required you to “cook” your own breakfast and serve/clear yourself. I understand this might have started because of COVID, but that was 6 years ago. I like to splurge on these types of inns occasionally to treat myself and my husband. Didn’t realize I had to preheat an oven and reheat a refrigerated breakfast for my husbands birthday. It was delicious, but disappointing. Also, I was told I would receive a 10% discount if I paid in cash. I told them I would like to do that. Seeing as how I never met anyone or wasn’t greeted by anyone, I had to flag down the cleaning lady and hand her $300 in cash, hoping she knew what to do and would do the right thing with it. I never received any sort of confirmation that payment was received or anything. It was all very strange and unorganized. In the room, they have a coupon for 10% off 12 different restaurants in the area. The morning we left, before check-out, we went to Rising Star coffee, handed them the coupon, and they all looked at us like we were crazy. They said they’ve never seen this before and made us feel very uncomfortable. They said it would be nice if they were told by the inn that they were signed up to have to offer 10% to their guests. Just another weird feeling we got. Again, beautiful property, beautiful room, great location. Just not the personal touches we expected being a Select Registry Inn.

We got the Retreat room for my 31st birthday and the hosts had a homemade cake waiting for me in the kitchen!! The rooms and common areas were extremely clean and the older gentleman named Doug was so very helpful, and was willing to accommodate things to make your stay feel like home. ! It’s close to the bars and nightlife so it makes for a fun stay! I would definitely stay here again if I’m in the Cleveland area.

We LOVED our stay here. We stayed in the rooster room. The space was very cozy. It was quiet and very relaxing. The hosts were great! We will be going back! The area around called ohio city is such a wonderful neighborhood. Walkable to many restaurants, shopping areas, and the west side market was a lot of fun! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
