We spent 5 days/4 nights at Jail Hill Inn, Galena in late July, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Room 402 was amazing...so beautiful, so comfortable, and my goodness, so so welcoming. It truly felt like home, with a touch of spa-like relaxation that made it the perfect escape from the daily grind. Matt was a spectacular host. He is incredibly personable and genuinely wants every guest to have the most amazing stay possible. We also got to chat with his dad and he is just the most delightful and funny gentleman!!! You can just feel the thought and care that goes into every detail. The breakfast service was the best we’ve ever experienced at a B&B, and the evening wine and cheese receptions were seriously top notch. We especially loved that they showcased local Galena shops, coffees, and wineries. We spent our days heading out for tours, dinner and drinks, sometimes multiple times a day, but no matter where we went, we always found ourselves looking forward to getting back to relax. We spent time not only in the room, but the side and back patios are so beautiful! It was especially fun to watch the hummingbirds so close up! Jail Hill Inn is more than a place to sleep, it’s really a whole experience, which is exactly what we've been seeking literally forever. The hospitality, attention to detail, comfort, and overall atmosphere were exceptional. I'm not even sure anywhere we travel will ever be able to top it. We cannot recommend it highly enough and are already looking forward to our next visit! I'd LOVE to spend a winter holiday here! I just don't know which suite to book! Decisions, decisions!!!
