Here is why I think this place deserves 5 stars : Reasonable prices and the location! It's not a fancy new trendy type of hotel, but it's CLEAN! I could of stayed there a few more days just to watch the Sea Lions in the harbor. My wife and I had a fantastic stay! Special thanks to the gentleman at the desk that has the "graveyard" shift!!! Extremely nice and professional.

Before I go into the negative things that happened let me first say that the room is mostly lovely. There’s a wonderful view of the harbor. There are French doors that open out onto the deck. The soaking tub is in the bedroom and a welcome sight but the drain leaked. The bathroom had an open shower that looked good. The bathroom is roomy and pretty. They provide comfy spa robes for you and hair, products, creams, and lotions and so forth. The coffee set up looked good too, but it took a while to figure out how to use it. There’s a little fridge and a microwave in the armoire but only two clothes hangers. The bed is comfortable but the sheets were made of a synthetic material that stuck to my pajamas and made it hard to move! I took them off to remedy the situation. On the downside: The serving staff I interacted with in the restaurant all have long faces and flat affect. They were not experienced. They looked bummed. Wi-Fi didn’t work and neither did my AT&T cellular. The man behind the desk had to run somewhere to reboot the router to make my phone work. It was inconvenient to have to get dressed again and traipse out to the office for that. There’s a parallel parking space right in front of the room. It’s perfect for whomever stays in that room, but you have to be handicapped to use it. They gave me the room without asking if I was disabled or if I had a placard. I’m glad I happened to have one because it was the only space on the property that could accommodate my small RV. Ceiling: They jury rigged some kind of fix on one of the inset skylights in the ceiling. One of the skylights has a cut out piece of cardboard taped against one side of the inset that contains the skylight it’s hard to determine why — and it’s an eyesore. The lovely soaking tub is a welcome addition but the drain wouldn’t close fully. At least I couldn’t get it to with numerous tries. It irritated me to hear the water fairly quickly going down the drain while I was relaxing in the bath. The pretend wood fireplace will not turn all the way off - there’s an amount of constant heat coming out - enough to keep the room warm when you don’t want it to be warm. There’s a big fan sitting in the room and I wondered why. I asked the front desk person if she could turn it all the way off. She came to the room and instructed me about the fan and how I could put it in front of the open window to get cooler air. The biggest offender for me though, was at the time I was making my reservation with them in person. I said I’d like to stay for two nights. She said the weekends are filled and so is Thursday and sometimes Wednesday. I said no problem. I’ll take Monday and Tuesday. But she failed to tell me that on Tuesday the restaurant is closed. To me that’s something that a new guest would want to know. I have a feeling they do that to everyone who doesn’t know better, which, for me, cheapens the credibility of the place and makes them seem a bit desperate.

We just did the entire west coast, and this property was our favorite stay. Beautiful, large rooms with harbor views. Could hear sea lions barking from balcony. Restaurant was also outstanding. Would highly recommend this place.

The older woman at the desk was really not friendly and gave us no information. We actually had to go back to her desk and ask how we get to our room. She failed to point us in the right direction. We paid extra for a view. We expected a view, bit the room was seriously short of having a view. The rest of the staff were friendly. The rooms are nice with some great amenities, lime a really nice upgraded coffee machine and tea kettle. The surface space was seriously lacking, they did have one small TV tray that could be set up. No counter space in the bathroom.

I stayed at Noyo Harbor Inn for two nights with my pets. When I booked through Booking.com, I specifically selected a pet-friendly room with a king-size bed. However, when I arrived, I was told that my reservation had not come through as a pet-friendly room. The front desk moved me to a pet-friendly room, but it only had a queen-size bed. Before agreeing to the change, I specifically asked whether there would be any additional charge. I was told no, and that they would adjust the rate accordingly. Unfortunately, when I checked out, I found that I had been charged an additional amount anyway. I was very disappointed because I had specifically confirmed with the front desk that there would be no extra charge. I understand that booking issues can happen, especially when using a third-party website. However, if a hotel employee tells a guest there will be no additional charge, I expect the hotel to honor that. Between receiving a smaller bed than I originally booked and then being charged extra despite what I was told, I was very disappointed with how this situation was handled.
