Bad deal-I made reservation in February for my April trip, got confirmation, they took my money and when I got there they had moved my reservation to another day so they could accommodate st Mary's college. Now they don't want to give my money back.

Swanendele Inn is a wonderful place and very comfortable place to stay. Rooms are super clean with fantastic views of the water. The inn keepers are really nice. I am sorry that I could not stay for breakfast. Rooms are true to the photos. Traveling for business and I consider it a find and will be back with my husband.

Very friendly staff. Felt very welcomed at the Bed and Breakfast. The site is beautiful. Winter was an interesting time to visit. I could see Spring and Fall being an excellent time to truly enjoy the property. The Propietors were very friendly with helpful local sites to visit. Local restaurants include Pier 450 and Salt within a short distance for dining enjoyment. A great weekend get away and very much enjoyed.

This is what a bed and breakfast should be like! We stayed one night to just get away. We were greeted immediately upon arrival. Our hosts were very kind. Our room was gorgeous and comfortable. We were served a delicious multi-course breakfast. The property is right on the water. The Inn itself is beautiful. The views are spectacular, even during the winter! Thank you for a nice night's getaway.

We went to Point Lookout State Park at the southern tip of St Mary’s County, Maryland in late September hoping to see Monarch butterflies before making the flight across the Potomac Riveron on their migration to Mexico. We could make the trip in a day but chose to find a place to stay and linger a bit in the area. We decided on the Swanendele Inn because it looked promising. It exceeded our expectations. We had an extended conversation with the owner Gerald Meyerman about the incredible furnishings and his past professional lives. The inn is furnished with very good pieces that they collected from around the world. Gerald told us fascinating stories about many of them. He is a good storyteller. Our room was well furnished but not overly so. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The view of the water outside our window was beautiful. The next morning, we were served a very hearty and healthy breakfast before going on our way. I wish we could have stayed longer. I would certainly stay here again.
