The Armory Park Inn provides an authentic Tucson experience. The staff and owner are focused on ensuring their guests have a pleasant and relaxing stay, which can be increasing hard to find. Shortly after I booked my room I received a call from Dora (the Inn's Manager), offering some options for breakfast considering my dietary preference. Several days later, after arriving, I was immediately greeted by Dora and given a tour of the Inn. The building is a thoughtful mix of historical Tucson in addition to modern comforts. "Armory Hour" is a 4 p.m. get together with the owner (Amy) where great discussion can be had, coupled with a glass of wine or beer. Amy gave me the background on what instigated her interest in starting the Inn, and her passion for creating a beautiful and relaxing place to stay was immediately obvious. She truly is committed to her business, her guests, and showing off what Tucson has to offer.

Armory Park Inn has a lot of potential, but unfortunately our experience left something to be desired, and I would not stay here again. The inn itself is a charming historic home in downtown Tucson. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet, and we enjoyed staying in the Pennington Room. The courtyard is beautiful, the bathrooms are nicely updated, the towels, robes, and bath products felt luxurious, and housekeeping kept the room fresh each day. Unfortunately, our check-in experience overshadowed the rest of our stay. We booked and prepaid through Priceline and even called nearly two weeks before arrival to confirm our reservation, let them know we'd be arriving late due to our flight, request a breakfast basket for the following morning, and receive our door codes. Everything was confirmed. When we arrived, we were locked out and told our reservation had been canceled. After 45 minutes to an hour of phone calls and being asked for payment information, the inn acknowledged the issue and finally let us into our room. After a long travel day in the Arizona heat, it was disappointing to find the A/C hadn't been turned on, the room was very hot, the sheets had black ink-like marks, and our requested breakfast basket wasn't there. The next morning, Priceline confirmed our reservation had never been canceled. The explanation from the inn later changed to an issue with Priceline's virtual payment card. To their credit, the owner worked with Priceline to resolve everything, and we were never charged twice. However, the inconsistent communication made the start of our vacation unnecessarily stressful. If you're planning to stay here, I'd recommend booking directly with the inn rather than through a third-party site. Breakfast was easily the highlight of our stay. We were told the first morning wasn't up to their usual standard because they weren't expecting us, but it was still excellent. Every morning included fresh pastries, a yogurt parfait with fresh fruit and honey, a fresh arugula salad with balsamic, and a rotating hot breakfast. The greek style eggs were especially delicious, and the coffee was great. We also appreciated the complimentary Nespresso coffee, spring water, and Pepperidge Farm cookies available throughout the day. Overall, the inn is charming, peaceful, and serves an excellent breakfast. Unfortunately, the disorganized check-in process and communication issues made what should have been a relaxing vacation start on a very stressful note.

We had a great stay, and enjoyed and appreciated the hospitality of Amy and her staff. Our rooms (the cottage) were great, and very quiet and private. Breakfasts were amazing, probably the best we have ever had. Afternoon wine reception was very enjoyable, and the perfect time to unwind and plan dinner. We would highly recommend and absolutely would stay here again.

I flew in for a business meeting and everyone was so warm and welcoming. They accommodated all of my needs. And it’s an absolutely beautiful hacienda style Inn. I would live there! I stay in a lot of hotels and this is is beyond amazing! And- they have my favorite lavender lotion and products! Breakfast was yummy too! I cannot say enough great things! Every detail was thought about. Book your trip here now. You won’t regret it!

I've been in the hotel business for 45+ years and have stayed in 1,000's of hotels over the years. Our stay at The Armory Park Inn was one of the top 10 experiences ever. The owner, Amy, and innkeeper, Dora, are wonderful hosts. The Inn is beautifully appointed with a keen eye for detail and cleanliness. The back patio is beautiful with many different seating areas surrounded by lots of flowers and plants - a great place to relax and enjoy your complimentary glass of wine and snack which are top notch, as is the complimentary breakfast. We'll be highly recommending the Inn to our friends and family and will definitely be returning for another great stay.

Our stay was fabulous! The Armory Park Inn is outstanding in *every* respect. From the gorgeous interior to the gracious staff, my wife and I knew we had found a winner. Amy and Dora anticipated every need we could have, with snacks, plentiful towels, fast wi-fi, robes, even blackout curtains. In the late afternoon, they hosted an Armory Gathering for guests that included wine, cheese, fruit, and lovely conversation. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful. We unreservedly recommend the The Armory Park Inn, and we look forward to staying there again during our next visit to Tucson.
