The Chesapeake Inn

This cute little inn was so amazing. Everyone was friendly, kind and very attentive. Our room was so amazing, comfy and had any and all amenities you could need. You are so close to all the little restaurants and shops. This place was beyond amazing and I highly recommend staying here. We will be back.

I have been traveling to The Chesapeake Inn by boat my entire life. Over the past couple years my experience with The Chesapeake Inn has very sharply declined. Their dock hands are way too spastic and have caused me to almost crash my boat one or twice yelling and jumping on my boat taking over when I was at no danger to myself, my passengers, my boat, or any neighboring boats or property. Trying to get food service out to the boat takes all night just to put an order in. Tonight was probably my worst experience with The Chesapeake Inn by far. As I was mid docking my boat some random guy decided he did not approve how I tied my boat to the dock and he untied my boat from the slip. I kept yelling at him not to untie my boat and it wasn't until he had it completely untied that he claims he heard me and just threw the line down and left it untied in a mess on the dock. As I was sitting up at my table I saw the same man walk past my boat that I retired to the dock and stared at my dock lines for no less then 5 minutes debating on untying them. The groupings with decided we did not have all night to wait for boat service so we got up and got a table. We say there for an hour waiting for our waitress to take our order. We watched her repeatedly wait on the tables surrounding us and just kept skipping right past us. If it wasn't for the location of The Chesapeake Inn to my home marina I would not have kept coming to this place as long as I have. I am now looking for recommendations for a better atmosphere to spend my time at then this establishment.

Really nice place. liked the snacks in the room. If there was an $100 motel in Urbanna, I would have not stayed here. But very comfortable, very clean and nice atmosphere. Thank you

I’m local to Urbanna and have never had any reason to work with the Inn until recently. We adopted a dog and it immediately ran away. The previous fosters drove up all the way from SC to help us look. The incredible folks at the Inn answered our call late Saturday, dropped everything to prepare the room for the foster family and began helping us with the search for our dog. Not only did they get the room ready quickly, they left a goodie bag for their daughter and according to the foster family the Inn left them a very kind note. The family said the sheets were so soft they wanted to live in them and that the Inn and rooms are very nice and clean. It goes a long way that they are not only a good business, but good people. We are a better community with their presence and we are endlessly grateful for their help, kindness and hospitality.

This boutique hotel is truly a gem! Beautifully decorated common areas inside and out plus clean and comfortable rooms that are pet friendly. The husband-wife owners’ attention to detail is truly unmatched with little welcome gifts for both our child and Frenchie… plus walkable to everything Urbanna has to offer and a quick drive to Topping, Deltaville, Irvington, etc!

This was probably the nicest place my son and I stayed on our road trip around the country. The rooms were comfortable and beautiful. The husband and wife that ran it were just delightful. It was such a cozy place to stay! I would recommend this 1000 times over!
