When was the last time you sat outside on naturally beautiful property and watched the moon emerge against a clear sky? When was the last time you enjoyed breakfast conversation with a family from Prague, an author of six books, and a Dutch couple? The Homestead is a classic New England inn functioning as a quality B and B with attractive, spacious rooms, some of which have a private patio and entrance, in Madison, Connecticut. The professional staff makes relaxation easy. Madison is a charming town with a quality bookstore and good movie theater. Donald 2026
With attractive rooms and an effective staff The Homestead Inn provides a pleasant environment, but particularly noteworthy are the beautiful natural grounds and the quirky interior decor. Birds, rabbits, and squirrels move among the statuesque trees and flourishing foliage, making reading outside at sunset a soothing experience. The inn reflects the serene southern Connecticut shore. ABSOLUTELY loved this place. I was astonished by the thoughtfulness and hospitality of it all. It was my bday trip and they left me a cute bday note, a champagne bottle, and chocolates. The place itself is decorated with antiques and travel items from the owner. Their shower head is amazing and unique infused with some minerals also. You will immediately be greeted by their doggy Heartman. The property manager is the sweetest. You will fall in love with this place. The breakfast was delicious and freshly made that morning. Will definitely come back.

Love this place! Quiet, bucolic location, near beaches and the charming town center. Inviting patios outside, and inside, there's something interesting everywhere you look--a collection of vintage cameras, a big wooden giraffe, a model of the Titanic, and lots more. The living room is filled with books, a working fireplace, a piano and other instruments, which guests are invited to play. My sister and I shared a spacious, tastefully appointed, spotless room--nice linens, comfy beds. The vitamin-infused shower is a treat. The owner and staff are a delight--warm, welcoming, helpful. Breakfast was good too. It's clear that a lot of thought goes into every detail. All-around exceptional.

I stayed at the Homestead at am impromptu need for a room. To my great fortune they had a spare room available with all the usual additions. First my first visit to the area, the Homestead innkeepers were perfectly accommodating to my after hours request and I felt very welcomed throughout. The Homestead has a beautiful blend of modern and what I consider classic B&B. I fully hope to brknng my family here for another stay. Thank you!

Didn’t expect to love it here as much as I did! The place has thoughtful details in every room and manages to be both cozy and totally luxurious. Was especially impressed with the towel warmer & free snacks. The fireplace room had comfortable leather chairs to hang out in. The sunroom had games to pick from. The outdoor fire pit made this feel like such a special getaway. Madison is close to some great activities, from Bishop’s orchards to the outlet mall nearby. We came in expecting a beach vacation but the rain didn’t stop us from having a memorable time at this special inn. Thank you Eva, Ray, and Heartmann 🐶 for making this a memorable stay! Highly recommend dinner at Chamard Vineyards 11 minutes away for a special meal.
