Perfect location in Saugatuck. Very nice property and excellent staff. Beware....the chocolate chip cookies are dangerous!! Wonderful area across the street to watch stunning sunsets on the water. 15/10 recommend

We had a relaxing stay at this quaint and tidy bed and breakfast! The staff was very accommodating and welcoming. The updated lobby was charming and thoughtfully appointed. We enjoyed the walkable trip into Saugatuck, just far enough away to be able return to an oasis of our own at the end of the day. The gardens and patio in the back of the main building offer a quiet place to relax with a book or a glass of wine. The price was slightly on the higher end, but absolutely in line for the general area/seasonality of our stay. If you are looking for a more affordable option it might be best to re-assess your priorities. For those wanting to relax in a clean, comfortable, well kept historic inn; this is your place!

We had a fantastic stay! The room was very nice, clean, updated and in good condition. The staff was very friendly. The backyard area was beautiful. And the bikes were such a nice amenity - we used them every day! And the daily homemade treats in the lobby were delicious

Five-night stay, overall enjoyable but mixed. The room itself was fine, nothing special, and we liked the bed and the sunroom, though it had no closet and the TV was old and clunky to operate. Breakfast was solid and the staff were very nice. We were in the Lakeshore room, which is right in the lobby, so it got noisy at times. The half-mile walk into town wasn't an issue for us (we're used to walking, coming from Chicago), and the lobby amenities were a nice touch. Good stay overall, but the price per night felt steep for what you actually get, so we're not sure we’d stay here again.

Misleading Marketing and Overpriced Stay: This hotel was an exceptionally poor value. It markets itself as a “luxury bed and breakfast” and as being “designed for couples seeking an elevated retreat,” but that description felt highly misleading. At nearly $600 per night (including taxes and fees), the experience amounted to little more than a basic room. There is no pool, gym, lounge, bar, or inviting communal space to relax with a drink or snack. Our rate did not include breakfast or the advertised “homemade sweet treat.” The only amenities available in the lobby were small bags of pretzels and chips, along with a collection of old bicycles. The bathroom was dated and in need of renovation, and the old bathtub was not particularly inviting. Every room faces the parking lot, which further detracts from the atmosphere the property claims to provide. Housekeeping standards were also disappointing. The room was not properly vacuumed, and the small couch was covered in sand throughout our stay. In addition, walking into town takes approximately 15 minutes along a busy road, which was inconvenient and not especially pleasant. Had this hotel been priced at half the rate, we likely would have viewed it differently. At its current price point, however, it felt significantly overpriced for what was offered. I would recommend choosing a different hotel.

We loved our stay here last year. Rooms were clean and we loved the balcony and fireplace. The only odd thing that I forgot to mention at checkout was that the shower knob kept slowly turning down to the cold side so we used my wife's hair tie to hold it in place. We tried every breakfast combo we could while there and all were delicious and the service was quiet. Staff were friendly and easy enough to get our own ice. A bit of a walk to the main party of town but really not too bad and access to other paths around the lake. We had a bit of a view of the lake and sunset so that was nice too and there are other outdoor areas to use. Would definitely stay again.
