The Inn at Ormsby Hill is a true gem. Jack and Maryann Orlando are amazing innkeepers, and I am looking forward to my next visit. I spent some time here during three separate visits this spring and late summer and can’t wait to get back! The laid back, but attentive hospitality, beautiful and historic accommodations, delicious breakfasts, and overall good vibes are amazing. And the Tower room is my absolute favorite; bright, airy and just a bit different than your usual B&B room. Perfect!

The Inn at Ormsby Hill never disappoints — we're return guests, and this stay near the end of July was just as wonderful as always. The Inn has real history — back in the late 1800s, it was the summer estate of a Chicago lawyer whose law partner was Robert Todd Lincoln (Abraham Lincoln's son), and whose circle of friends is said to have included William Howard Taft, later the 27th U.S. President. That's why our room, the Taft Suite, carries his name. The Inn is also part of Select Registry, a national group of only around 250–300 of the top independent inns and B&Bs in the country.
We booked the Taft Suite, which in our opinion is the most spacious and elegant room at the property, though every room we've seen is wonderful. The AC kept the room perfectly cool, the paint was fresh and the room immaculate, the bed was super comfortable, and the steam shower was hot and fantastic. The suite also has a whirlpool tub, plus a second small room with a refrigerator and a couch — perfect for reading the newspaper or a good book. The property overall is in immaculate condition, and the bar is a handy self-serve setup in the gift shop.
The Inn sits on the outskirts of Manchester Center, which is nice since it's away from the hustle and bustle. The common areas downstairs are filled with beautiful antiques, and the massive blue stone patio has amazing mountain views. We loved sitting out there with drinks at the end of the day — great spot for reading too. The whole Inn has such a peaceful, quiet feel to it, really made for couples looking to relax and get away. Breakfast was a highlight, with huge French toast served in a beautiful dining room, with free coffee throughout the day.
Jack and Mary Anne, the hosts, are the absolute best. The Inn is fresh and clean, updated with beautiful, elegant furnishings throughout. We can't wait to return again.

We had a fantastic visit for our 20th wedding anniversary. We both have Celiac and are therefore gluten free and they handled our dietary restrictions with ease. We definitely would go back!
