5/5Prior to our stay at The Inn at Tabbs Creek, I had read the well-deserved excellent reviews and had high expectations, but even the fabulous reviews did not prepare me for how premium and personal an experience our stay at The Inn would be for our anniversary trip.
As Sherry was showing us around upon our arrival, we were struck over and over again by how thoughtfully Sherry and Ridge have curated the Inn experience for their guests. The lower floor of the big main house has been made into a series of common rooms, all beautifully appointed with modern furnishings and intentional touches like snuggly blankets, plush pillows, books, and games in The Morning Room; the all-season porch overlooking the creek; and The Breakfast Room overlooking the wonderful salt-water pool.
There is a snack room stocked with both healthy and unhealthy goodies (my faves were the Swedish fish and the baked goods Sherry made and put out in the afternoons) and a wide variety of soft drinks, as well as lovely teas and locally roasted coffee with all the fixins (including flavored syrups). Sherry and Ridge have stocked a freezer in the snack area with gourmet ice cream in single-serving sizes of interesting flavors like Earl Grey, butter brickle, and honey-lavender, and more standard flavors like strawberry and a very rich chocolate.
On the other side of the snack area, passing through a door cleverly concealed in a bookshelf in The Breakfast Room, is a thoroughly stocked speakeasy full of top-shelf liquors and a variety of mixers, a humidor, premium dark chocolates, and comfy chairs. If you’d like to play cards while enjoying your drinks and cigars, decks of cards and poker chips are thoughtfully tucked away in a corner of the room.
You can’t swing a cat without hitting a water view on this property. From the Adirondack chairs arranged in a circle around a fire pit by the water, to more Adirondacks at the end of the dock, to picnic tables and a hammock in the back yard and egg chairs by the edge of the water behind some of the cottages, there is always somewhere lovely and picturesque to spend time by the water and watch the fish jumping and the birds flying over. There is a stunning cottage garden in the middle of the property, by the pool, that is beautifully cared for and stocked with flowers, herbs, and produce that showed up on our breakfast plates in the mornings. There were so many butterflies and hummingbirds on this property because of this beautiful garden! The mature magnolia trees flanking the main house and hung with wind chimes and local art were lovely, too, and it was a treat to say good morning each day to The Inn’s resident cat, Queenie.
Sherry and Ridge have thought of everything, all the extra little touches that enabled us to fully relax into our trip and feel well cared-for while we were there. It’s obvious that hospitality is their passion, and they are very, very good at not just providing a great experience, but going well above and beyond to ensure that their guests feel valued and well-attended, like bringing us a surprise cheese board to mark our anniversary. We felt we could ask for anything we wanted or needed during our stay, but we never needed to, because Sherry and Ridge - very engaged with their guests without being cloying or too-present - had anticipated everything we could possibly want for our getaway.
Now that we’ve experienced it once, we want to come back to The Inn at Tabbs Creek for every occasion. We’d been planning a getaway to Savannah, GA for my birthday next year, but I decided after our first night at The Inn that I’d rather celebrate there. Our stay was romantic, relaxing, private and secluded, and ultimately the best vacation experience we’ve ever had. Much gratitude to Sherry and Ridge for sharing their amazing property and letting us make it our luxurious home-away-from-home to celebrate our anniversary in the best way possible!
Our first stay at The Inn at Tabbs Creek was perfect! Sherry and Ridge have done an excellent job with the facility, and have thought of all the amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfasts were amazing, and the service from the entire staff was excellent. We’re looking forward to our next visit!

5/5My sister and brother-in-law treated my husband and me to a two-night stay at The Inn at Tabbs Creek, and as my first B&B experience, it completely blew me away!
The house and grounds are stunning. The owners, Sherry and Ridge, were the ultimate hosts. Sherry personally styled the interior decorating, which fits the property perfectly. My favorite feature downstairs was the cozy Speakeasy hidden behind a secret bookcase door, fully stocked with a great selection of libations.
Our room was incredibly inviting and packed with amenities: an electric fireplace, a large TV, a comfortable sitting area, a fridge, a coffee maker, and cozy bathrobes. The bathroom was a highlight of its own—complete with dual sinks, heated floors, and high-tech defogging mirrors with custom lighting settings!
Upon arrival, Ridge gave us a thorough, informative tour of the property. We were immediately greeted with fresh strawberry streusel muffins—followed by new homemade treats every day (Oh, don't get me started on their delicious chocolate chip cookies!). Guests have access to endless snacks, drinks, a heated pool, and canoes/kayaks at the dock to explore Tabbs Creek.
As for breakfast? Absolutely phenomenal. One morning featured Belgian waffles alongside a crab cake that earned full seal-of-approval marks from my Maryland family. Every meal included fresh fruit, a variety of juices, and even peach bellinis.
We had such a wonderful time and will definitely be returning!

5/5The room was beautiful and very clean. The view was absolutely amazing! Thank you for being so incredible and including my Benny Waffles in everything!! We loved the breakfast and the speakeasy. I can’t wait to come back!
We have been coming here annually for our anniversary weekend, and while we have always loved it, this was our first year experiencing the property under the new ownership and after the renovations. Sherry and Ridge have truly elevated the entire property and experience!
The renovations are absolutely beautiful and luxurious, and we appreciated every thoughtful detail—from the heated bathroom floors and wonderful room sprays to the chocolates waiting for us. The hidden bookcase door leading to the fully stocked “speakeasy” was such a fun touch, with beverages to satisfy both those who drink alcohol and those who don’t.
We also loved the screened porch that has been transformed into a climate-controlled dining room, the cozy nest chairs in the shade overlooking the water, and all of the thoughtful amenities, including the fully stocked snack cabinet, beverage fridge, and ice cream freezer.
And the breakfasts were truly delicious—beautifully prepared, thoughtfully planned, and absolutely packed with flavor.
We have always enjoyed our anniversary stays here, but the new ownership has taken an already wonderful experience to another level. We will definitely continue to return for years to come!

We had a great time visiting the Inn! On our first day we took the canoe out and explored the bay. Our room was very cozy and we enjoyed making smores with the electric fire pit. Our favorite part was the homemade breakfast, so delicious! We enjoyed Dioseline’s hospitality and warmth each morning. You can tell the hosts Sherry and Ridge put a lot of care and love into this inn.
