My wife and I had a great time over the three days. Ian was a tremendous host and attentive. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, with breakfast a great treat. Location wise, you could not ask for a better location. We never used our car, we walked everwhere to restaurants, taverns, museum, palace, and all around town ending the final day with a very nice trolley tour. Will definitely return another time.

This was our first stay at The Jarvis but it won’t be our last. We’ve been coming to New Bern for years to drop our now grown kids off at nearby Camps Seafarer and Seagull, but have stayed at other B&Bs in town. Fortuitously, The Jarvis was the only one available. A lively historic home, the downstairs has multiple sitting areas suitable for cozy conversations. The upstairs bedroom where we stayed was spacious with a large bathroom with a cool European style shower large enough to accommodate two adults. The king sized bed was incredibly comfortable. My wife said I was barely visible I had sunk so low into the sumptuous bedding. Breakfast really good. Eggs Benedict for her Avocado toast with prosciutto and poached egg for me. It was the best Avocado toast I’ve ever had. Ian, our host, was friendly and welcoming.

We absolutely loved our stay at Jarvis 220. Our room was beautiful, cozy, quiet and so clean. The whole place just felt comfortable and welcoming, and we felt right at home. We loved having the Cellar downstairs too. We played a little pool and hung out there before heading out for the evening, which was such a fun extra. And the breakfast! It was over-the-top good and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. We had such a great weekend in New Bern and would 100% stay here again.

It’s hard to put into words how much we loved having our daughter’s wedding at The Jarvis at 220. From the time we arrived, Brandi and Ian made us feel like this was our home for the weekend. The property is absolutely beautiful and was the perfect setting for the wedding. The house itself was amazing, and we all enjoyed it so much. Having everyone together there for the weekend made the whole experience even more special and gave us memories outside of the wedding day that we’ll always have. Brandi was so kind and accommodating and truly wanted everything to be exactly what our family wanted. Ian was absolutely amazing and was there for anything we needed, big or small. They both made our entire family feel completely at home, and by the end of the weekend, it honestly felt like we had known Brandi and Ian much longer than just a few days. As parents of the bride, you want everything to be perfect for your daughter, but you also want to be able to enjoy the day and take it all in. Brandi and Ian gave us that. We were able to enjoy our family, enjoy the wedding, and watch our daughter and son-in-law have exactly the day we had hoped for them. We can’t thank Brandi and Ian enough for everything they did for our family. The Jarvis wasn’t just the place where our daughter got married — it became part of a weekend our family will never forget. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better place or better people to share such an important weekend with. We would choose The Jarvis at 220 all over again without hesitation. ❤️
