We met the Blazar’s soon after they moved to NC. quite a number of years ago. We have watched them pour their resources, heart and soul into this historic property. The level of talent and sophistication and sensitivity they have brought to every aspect of the property and facilities alone demonstrate a next level of care. Leaving no stone unturned, literally, the well deserved pride they take in bringing the highest quality experience for their guests is palpable. This is truly a family business. Their whole family is actually there! And the staff have obviously become an extension of their family. My wife and I were just there this past weekend celebrating our 43rd anniversary. And of course we wouldn’t go anywhere for an occasion such as this without our pooches. Especially to visit their best friend Roxy!

My wife and I recently stopped by The Orchard Inn in Saluda, NC to explore the property for a future stay with family and friends. Our harness/leash secured 5 1/2 YO Bichon / ShiTzu mix (9 1/2 lbs) was with us on this visit. The Orchard advertises an unleashed, uncollared on-site Boxer named Roxie as its “friendly greeting dog”. Our experience was ANYTHING BUT friendly, as Roxie displayed extremely aggressive behavior towards our female dog by attempting to attack/maul our small unassuming dog. Somehow both myself and our dog escaped serious injury. Please be VERY WARY of this dog. God forbid if this dog’s suddenly aggressive behavior is directed at a small, unprotected child.
