Absolutely beautiful rooms, common spaces and setting. Comfortable bed and comfortable other furnishings too. Also a great location. Close to the Marginal Way beachside trail. About a 15 minute walk in the trail to Perkins Cove, and less than a 10 minute walk on the Main Street into downtown. I give it a 5 star review overall. The only reason I gave a 4 star for service is because the day prior to our stay, we received a text asking us to reply if we would need to check in later than the standard 4-6 PM time frame. I replied that we did need to arrive after that. To which they replied that they would text us the late check in procedures the day of our stay. The day of our stay, instead of receiving the late check in info, I received the same text asking us to let them know if we would need a late check in. I again said we would, and received no response. So I called and left a voicemail asking for a call back to clarify what we needed to do for a late checkin. I never received a call back. Having said all of that, once we arrived, late check in was not a problem, and all of the staff were very hospitable during our entire stay. So my complaint is only focused on the pre-arrival poor communication. I would totally stay here again despite that issue. It’s simply lovely once you’re there!

Trellis House is nice. I had high expectations based on glowing reviews and a premium price point. So maybe it was me, but the experience fell short of great. The rooms were pretty. The breakfast was good. The staff was accommodating. I won't say anything negative. But I wish I came away with a more powerful "wow" for the cost.
